Request a visit

Welcome to the page for: establishments and schools working with Canine Concern

Completing the application form will give us the information needed for you to be part of the ‘establishments and schools working with Canine Concern’. It does register you as a ‘member’, which you will be, as we are all part of a friendly group which includes our volunteers and their assessed dogs as well as you – our establishments and schools.

When you first apply for a Canine Concern dog visit, we will search for your closest member and contact them to see if they are available.

If so, we will give them your contact details so that they can get in touch with you directly and arrange an initial visit. If this goes well, we will need to receive the Establishment Registration Form with your details, as well as the Canine Concern member’s. We will then change you to being an ‘active’ establishment so we can support you more and keep in touch.

If after one year we have not yet been able to find a dog to visit you, we will send an automated email out to check that you are happy to stay on our waiting list for another year. When you do have a Canine Concern dog and volunteer member visiting, we ask that you update any changes each year and register that you are happy to continue. You are welcome to leave us at any time if you decide to, this is not a binding contract, just a request from you to be part of the charity, Canine Concern.

Registration to be on the waiting list or to be one of our recognised establishments is free, as are most of our visits. We will charge a nominal fee for group visits of 4 or more dogs to places as this involves a lot of planning and organising.

However, if you would like to help us further you can make a donation to Canine Concern to ensure we can keep the charity financially able to continue these visits to you and other places that will benefit greatly. Many places will hold annual fundraising events to raise these funds. Here are some easy ways to do make any payment:

  • BACS – Electronic bank transfer via internet banking to: HSBC | sort code: 40-20-06 | account: 42236036
  • Just Giving
  • By cheque, payable to Canine Concern and sent to: 21 Dallaway Drive, Stone Cross, Pevensey BN24 5FB

Many thanks, your donation will help us a great deal to continue these important visits. However, please do not feel obliged to pay anything.
